Flip
- A softened swear used like "freaking" — "Flip, I forgot!" or "You've got to be flipping kidding me."
Along with fetch and heck, flip is part of the toolkit of clean substitute words members use to express strong feelings without profanity. It reached a wider audience through the 2004 film Napoleon Dynamite, whose characters use it constantly ("Flippin' sweet!").
