About Mormon Jargon
Mormon Jargon is a plain-language dictionary of the religious and cultural vocabulary used by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It currently defines 470 terms — from doctrinal words like priesthood to insider slang like Jack Mormon and funeral potatoes.
The goal is simple: help investigators, new members, curious neighbors, and anyone else make sense of the language they hear at church, in conversation, or online.
