Anti-Mormon

  1. A label for people, materials, or arguments that are hostile to the Church and aimed at discrediting its history, doctrine, or leaders.

The word gets applied to a wide range of things — pamphlets handed out near temples, books, websites, films, and individuals who actively campaign against the Church. Members are generally counseled to avoid "anti-Mormon" material, and the term is sometimes used broadly enough to cover any pointed criticism, not just organized opposition. Whether a given source is genuinely hostile or simply critical is often itself a point of disagreement. Someone who produces or spreads such material may be called "an anti."
