Anti-Nephi-Lehies

  1. A group of Lamanite converts in the Book of Mormon who were so committed to peace that they buried their weapons and refused to fight, even at the cost of their lives.

Also called the people of Ammon, they covenanted never to shed blood again after their conversion. When attacked, many were slain without resisting; their example is a Book of Mormon emblem of deep repentance. Their sons later became the stripling warriors.
