Beliefs & Doctrine

Enoch

  1. An ancient prophet who built a city of such righteousness that it was taken up to heaven — the City of Enoch, or Zion.

Latter-day Saint scripture (the Book of Moses) greatly expands Enoch's story: his people became so unified and pure that God took the whole city to Himself. Enoch's Zion is the model for the Zion the Church seeks to build.
