Eternal Marriage
- Marriage performed in a temple that binds a husband and wife (and their children) for eternity, not just 'until death do you part.'
Also called celestial or temple marriage, it is performed by the sealing power so the covenant continues beyond death. Latter-day Saints regard it as an ordinance required for exaltation in the highest degree of the celestial kingdom.
