Food Storage

  1. A supply of food and essentials that members are encouraged to store at home as a buffer against hard times.

Members have long been counseled to build a supply (historically a "year's supply," now often a starter three-month supply plus longer-term basics like wheat and rice). It reflects the Church's emphasis on self-reliance and preparedness.
