Beliefs & Doctrine

Gathering of Israel

  1. The bringing together of God's covenant people — the house of Israel — through conversion, covenants, and coming unto Christ.

Once understood mostly as pioneers physically gathering to Utah, the gathering is now taught primarily as a spiritual one: people accepting the gospel, being baptized, and gathering to Christ wherever they live. Missionary work and family history are both seen as part of it.
