General Authority

  1. A senior Church leader with churchwide responsibility, as opposed to a local (ward or stake) leader.

General Authorities include the First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and the Seventy. They speak at General Conference and administer the worldwide Church; the title "Elder" is used for most of them.
