In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

  1. A sentence that is used to close a prayer, blessing, talk, testimony, or lesson given on a Church topic.

This procedure is meant to adhere to scriptural references which indicate that we should ask God for things in Christ's name. Although such events as a talk or lesson are not actually asking God for anything the phrase is used to indicate the reverence that is being given to the subject matter.
