New Jerusalem

  1. A holy city to be built in the last days as a gathering place for the righteous, which Latter-day Saints locate at Independence, Missouri.

Also called Zion, the New Jerusalem is prophesied to be established before the Second Coming, with a great temple at its center. It is one of two world capitals of the Millennium, along with the Jerusalem of the Old World.
