  1. A young male adult who has not gone on a mission, but soon will.

This term is generally only used at the Brigham Young University campuses and is normally only applied to freshmen students. In 2012 the Church lowered the minimum missionary age to 18 for young men and 19 for young women, so many now leave for their missions straight out of high school.
