Beliefs & Doctrine

Fasting

  1. Going without food and drink for a period — usually about 24 hours or two meals — as an act of worship, self-discipline, and drawing closer to God.

Members fast especially on Fast Sunday but also at other times when seeking blessings, guidance, or help for others. Fasting is normally paired with prayer and a fast offering donation, with exemptions for health, pregnancy, and age.
