Foreordination

  1. Being called or appointed in the premortal life to a particular mission, responsibility, or blessing on earth.

Latter-day Saints distinguish foreordination from predestination: a foreordained calling still depends on a person's agency and faithfulness to be fulfilled. Patriarchal blessings often speak of a person's foreordained potential.
