Home Teaching
- A former service and teaching program — replaced by ministering in 2018 — in which every family in a ward was visited monthly by two male members who held the Priesthood.
During these visits members were taught a lesson provided each month by the leadership of the Church, and Home Teachers were supposed to become friends with and provide service for the families to which they were assigned. In 2018 the Church retired home teaching (and visiting teaching) in favor of a less formal program called ministering; the men who now carry it out are called ministering brothers.
