Visiting Teaching
- A former service and teaching program — replaced by ministering in 2018 — in which every adult woman in the Church was visited regularly by two female members.
During these visits members were taught a lesson provided each month by the leadership of the Church, and Visiting Teachers were supposed to become friends with and provide service for the Sisters to which they were assigned. In 2018 the Church retired visiting teaching (and home teaching) in favor of a less formal program called ministering; the women who now carry it out are called ministering sisters.
