Ministering Sisters

  1. The women assigned to watch over and regularly check in on a set of women or households in a ward — part of the ministering program that replaced visiting teaching in 2018.

In 2018 the Church replaced visiting teaching with "ministering," a more flexible, relationship-focused way of caring for one another. Ministering sisters, part of the Relief Society (the Church's organization for adult women), are assigned a few sisters or households to contact and serve in whatever way best fits their needs rather than by delivering a set monthly lesson.
