Zoramites

  1. A Book of Mormon group who apostatized from the Nephites and worshipped with a set prayer recited from a tower called the Rameumptom.

The Zoramites' proud, rote worship — thanking God they were chosen while casting out the poor — prompted a mission by Alma, and the poor among them became humble converts. "Rameumptom" is sometimes used to mock ostentatious prayer.
