Book of Mormon

  1. One of the four standard works, the official scripture of the LDS church.
  2. Ancient scripture that is another testament of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon contains prophecy, history, and the teachings of Jesus Christ among ancient peoples of the Americas — from about 2200 BC to AD 421 — including Christ's visit after His resurrection. Joseph Smith Jr. translated the Book of Mormon into English from the Golden Plates and it has now been translated into well over one-hundred languages.
