Council in Heaven
- The premortal gathering of God's spirit children where He presented the plan of salvation and the need for a Savior.
At the council, Jesus Christ was chosen and volunteered to be the Savior, while Lucifer's rival proposal and rebellion led to the War in Heaven. The choices spirits made there are understood to have shaped their mortal circumstances.
