Grace

  1. The enabling and saving power, mercy, and love of Jesus Christ, given freely to help people be forgiven, changed, and lifted beyond their own ability.

Latter-day Saints believe salvation comes by grace, made effective as people exercise faith, repent, and keep covenants — grace and works together rather than opposed. The Bible Dictionary's entry on grace is often quoted on the subject.
