Law of Chastity

  1. The commandment to reserve sexual relations for marriage between a man and a woman, and to be faithful within it.

One of the Church's central moral standards, the law of chastity is a requirement for temple worthiness, missionary service, and baptism. It covers not just sexual acts but also thoughts, media, and dress, and is a frequent subject of youth instruction.
