Shoulder to the Wheel

  1. An exhortation to pitch in and do one's part — to work hard, especially in Church service and in building up the kingdom.

From the hymn "Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel" (words and music by Will L. Thompson), the phrase is used to rally members to labor rather than stand idle — in a calling, a service project, or the work of the Church generally.
