Trunking
- Being mentally checked out of missionary work because your mind is on going home — daydreaming about family, friends, food, or life after the mission instead of focusing on the work.
The term comes from "trunk" — as in packing your trunk to head home. It's most associated with missionaries in their final weeks (a missionary counting down the days is said to be "trunky"), but anyone can catch it after a hard week, a holiday, or a letter from home. Leaders and companions tend to treat trunkiness as something to snap out of, since a mission is meant to be worked right up to the last day.
