Beliefs & Doctrine

United Order

  1. An early Church economic system in which members consecrated their property to the Church and received back a stewardship according to their needs and circumstances.

The united order was the fullest historical attempt to live the law of consecration, practiced in the 1830s and again in some 19th-century Utah settlements before being discontinued. Latter-day Saints believe a form of it may return in a future day.
