Clerk
- Members who are called to keep a unit's records — membership, finances, etc.
The ward clerk maintains the confidential records of the congregation: membership information, attendance and statistical reports, and the ward's finances. Larger wards divide the load among assistant clerks who specialize — a financial clerk who counts and records tithing and other donations and prepares for tithing settlement, and a membership clerk who handles moves in and out, ordinances, and record changes. Stake clerks do the same at the stake level. It's a quiet, detail-heavy calling that keeps the paperwork of the Church running.
