Executive Secretary
- The member called to handle the bishop's calendar — scheduling interviews and appointments and helping the bishopric meetings run on time.
A behind-the-scenes administrative calling rather than a decision-making one. The executive secretary lines up temple-recommend and worthiness interviews, tithing-settlement appointments, and the agenda for ward council, then tracks the assignments that come out of those meetings. A parallel stake executive secretary does the same for the stake presidency. When someone says the bishop "will get back to you," it's usually the executive secretary who actually calls to set the time.
