Temple & Ordinances

Ordinances

  1. Sacred, formal rites performed by priesthood authority — often involving covenants — such as baptism, confirmation, the sacrament, and temple ordinances.

Ordinances range from simple (a baby blessing) to saving ordinances required for exaltation (baptism, the temple endowment, sealing). Saving ordinances can be performed by proxy for the dead.
