Resurrection

  1. The reuniting of a person's spirit with a perfected, immortal body after death — made universal for all people through Jesus Christ.

Because of Christ's resurrection, Latter-day Saints believe everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected, never to die again, as part of the plan of salvation. Christ was the first to be resurrected; the righteous rise in the "first resurrection" at His Second Coming.
