Laying on of Hands
- The practice of placing hands on a person's head to perform an ordinance or give a blessing by priesthood authority.
Used for confirmation, ordinations, settings apart, and blessings of healing and comfort. The one performing (and any assisting) rest their hands lightly on the recipient's head and speak the words of the ordinance.
